This is by far the most emotional session I will ever attend. Not only was it a homebirth, which by nature is going to be intense, but it was also one of my best friends who I have known since we were babies. It was so hard to watch her in pain (although, obviously not as hard as it was for her:) ) but she did an amazing job. I was thinking in the first hour I was there that it was a good thing I was witnessing what I will be going through soon, because it SURE made me feel like I could be patient for eight more weeks 🙂 But then when Olive came, and she held her and felt so much joy and relief, oh boy. It was all over for me. I am ready!
B & L- thank you SO much for letting me be there to witness Sweet Olive’s birth. I will never forget it.
If you have the option to have a photographer at your birth- whether it’s at the hospital, birthing center, or your home, I highly recommend it… The pictures tell the story that you will likely not have the clarity to remember, and oh these are some precious memories!
